Local residents looking to kickstart a healthier lifestyle in 2025 now have a new, one-stop fitness destination: MyActive. Bringing together leisure centres in Biddulph, Buxton, Cheadle, Glossop, Glossop Swim, Leek, and New Mills under one unified brand, MyActive is part of Alliance Leisure Ltd, owned by Staffordshire Moorlands District Council and High Peak Borough Council and is dedicated to helping residents be active, motivated, and connected.
With a wide array of health and fitness facilities and resources, every resident, from older adults, busy parents and children, to budding athletes and wellness enthusiasts can find the opportunities (or activities) and encouragement they need to thrive.
To inspire people to get moving in 2025, MyActive is introducing special incentives from December 26 through January 15. They are:
No Payment Until February 1
New members can join now and pay nothing until the start of February, eliminating barriers to kick off their fitness journey.
Bring a Friend for Free
Current members can introduce a friend who will receive a complementary three-day guest pass, perfect for shared motivation and fun workouts together.
No Joining Fee in January
Joining has never been easier. MyActive waives the standard joining fee all month long.
