The business plan is underpinned by four values developed through extensive engagement involving colleagues from across MyActive:
- Inclusive
- Community
- People focused
- Collaborative
Communication has also been recognised as the golden thread that connects everything MyActive does, shaping how colleagues work together and how the organisation builds relationships with customers, partners and communities.
The Business Plan sets out seven strategic priorities that will guide investment and decision making over the next two years. These focus on developing people, enhancing customer experience, improving facilities, strengthening financial sustainability, expanding health and wellbeing services, embracing innovation and deepening partnerships across the local system.
As a wholly owned company of High Peak Borough Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, MyActive plays an important role in supporting both authorities' ambitions to improve health, reduce inequalities and create stronger, more connected communities.
The organisation manages eleven leisure and recreation facilities across the two districts, delivering a wide range of opportunities including swimming, fitness, group exercise, outdoor recreation, community wellbeing programmes and targeted health interventions.
The launch follows a period of significant progress for MyActive, including major investment projects across several centres, the introduction of new wellbeing services, national recognition through The Active Standard accreditation, and continued collaboration with NHS and local authority partners to support healthier communities.
Looking ahead, MyActive will continue investing in its people, facilities and partnerships while ensuring services evolve to meet changing community needs and deliver lasting social impact.
