MyActive Buxton is set to benefit from a significant programme of investment, bringing exciting improvements to the gym environment and overall customer experience.

The investment follows continued collaboration between MyActive and High Peak Borough Council and forms part of a wider commitment to ensuring local communities have access to high-quality facilities that support health, wellbeing and active lifestyles.

Visitors to the centre may already have noticed the first signs of change, with refreshed décor, updated signage and branding improvements beginning to take shape throughout the building.`

Over the coming weeks, further enhancements will include:

  • Installation of brand-new gym equipment
  • New indoor cycling bikes
  • Improved gym layout and customer flow
  • New flooring
  • Updated graphics and branding

The project has been carefully planned to minimise disruption and will be delivered in phases. The gym will close briefly to complete the final stages safely.

Gym closed from 31st July
Expected reopening 8th August

Other centre facilities remain available whilst the work takes place.

Leigh White, General Manager at MyActive Buxton said:

“We know our members are going to love what's coming. Whilst there will be a short period of disruption, we're doing everything we can to keep this as short as possible and make sure customers can continue enjoying many of the other facilities and activities available at the centre.

We're really excited to unveil the transformation and would like to thank all of our members for their patience and support while we carry out these improvements.”

Customers are encouraged to follow MyActive's social media channels and website for regular updates, progress photos and sneak peeks as the transformation takes shape.
