MyActive Glossop and Glossop Swim General Manager, Sarah Haworth, says:
“Over the past year, our customers and colleagues have shown incredible patience and flexibility whilst we've worked through various improvements across the centre. We're really excited to now be able to invest in the studio and create a space that reflects the quality experience our community deserves.
The new indoor cycling bikes, virtual classes and wider improvements will help us offer even more opportunities for people to move in a way that works for them. We can't wait to welcome everyone into the finished space and see it become a real hub of activity once again."
This investment forms part of our ongoing commitment to improving facilities and creating the best possible experience for our customers. In addition, High Peak Borough Council has committed to the purchase of 30 brand new indoor cycling bikes, helping to transform the space into a modern, engaging environment for group exercise.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Bradbury House and Central Methodist Church, Glossop, for accommodating our Group Exercise programme over the past year whilst improvement works have been taking place. Their support has been invaluable in helping us keep our community active and connected.
As with work of this nature, there may be some noise, disruption and temporary changes, but the gym, squash courts, sports hall and classes will remain open as usual. During the upgrade, we will keep you up to date with our progress via social media channels and app notifications.
