Greener energy scheme at MyActive New Mills now complete

We’re proud to share that MyActive New Mills is now running more efficiently thanks to a major sustainability upgrade. With support from High Peak Borough Council and Sport England’s Swimming Pool Support Fund, we’ve installed nearly 500m² of solar panels and upgraded our plant room equipment. Not only does this reduce our carbon footprint, but it also creates a more comfortable space around the pool. As a little bonus, we’ve added a new inflatable for family fun

Laying foundations for state-of-the-art leisure centre in Leek

Work on the redevelopment of MyActive Leek continues at pace as the demolition phase is completed and the foundations are laid for the new structure.

 

Staffordshire Moorlands District Council is leading the £17 million project to expand and fully modernise the facilities with the new health and wellbeing centre due to re-open in early 2026.
