The wait is almost over.
MyActive Leek will officially open on Tuesday 18th August, welcoming the community back into a brand-new health and wellbeing centre designed to help people of all ages improve their lives through movement.
Construction has now been completed and the building will be handed over this week, allowing MyActive teams to carry out final testing, commissioning and preparations ahead of opening day.
Adam Cope, General Manager at MyActive Leek, said:
"We're incredibly excited to finally welcome the community back through the doors of MyActive Leek.
Our teams have been working hard behind the scenes to prepare the building, programmes and customer experience, and we can't wait for people to experience everything the new centre has to offer.
We'd like to thank everyone for their patience and continued support throughout the redevelopment. We genuinely believe it has been worth the wait."
The new centre will offer a modern gym, swimming pool, fitness studios, café and a range of activities for people of all ages.
Outside, visitors will also be able to enjoy the new Active Environments space, featuring a free outdoor gym, pétanque court, table tennis tables, chess table and Active Trail, creating even more opportunities to be active and spend time together.
